GOOD SHOW THURSDAY NIGHT!!! So many things happened, that I don't know where to begin!:

1. I announced the addition of Matt Mahrer and Mark Moseley to the Cyanide Radio staff...now, I can call it a staff. Mahrer is a graduating Senior at Greenville High School and he will be doing weather clips for us. Mark Moseley, freshman at the University of North Texas, will be taking the role of second jock, assistant program director and co-owner...WELCOME!

2. Our servers were FULL for about 2 hours! I know it's a hassle for some, but we had the maximum amount of listeners allowed for almost 2 hours! I finished off the show with about half-full too...very exciting stuff.

3. The "A Perfect Tool" set went okay. Too mellow of music for too long makes this internet jock fall asleep.

4. I'm going to create a photobucket account for pictures related to the show, so stay tuned!

I guess that's it for now. There will be a show tonight at 11pm Central...CHECK IT OUT!

~Captain Cyanide

So, it's been another few days since I've updated or had a show- and tonight I'm breaking the pattern and coming out swinging. I expect to start at 10pm (CST), so make sure you're here.

I also apologize for my abrupt end of the last show- I literally fell asleep sitting here. It's not that my show is boring (I swear, it's not)- it's that the other things in my life also draw an amazing amount of energy out of me.

I expect to play some live stuff tonight, to give that concert atmosphere- including some stuff from Something Corporate's "Live at the Fillmore Theatre" (a disc that I recieved last night at work for free). I also downloaded a few programs to make some promos with, so expect some relatively-nifty things flying through here.

Check out the info page on directions to accessing the show.

Okay, so the first week of shows went good. I definately think that I've gotten a really good grasp of the software and that my programming is going to be kicked up a notch. I want to thank everyone who has checked it out this week, and those who are coming back for more.

Pretty much, the formatting is random. A lot of rock is being played- but I take requests and dedications as well. I did two themed sets: the 90's alternative and the covers set. They weren't in the same night, and I think that you guys seemed to like it.

At one point I had seven people listening for about two hours. I'm going to attempt to have a feed going round-the-clock.

And as always: there are many, MANY surprises that should be coming out soon.

Tonight, I have another themed set planned so be ready.

Also, if you're having trouble accessing the stream, check out the userinfo link at the top of the page: there's a set of directions there.

Broadcasting live, from the armpit of Texas.

Alright, so here was my thought process for the evening: "I'm bored- what would it take to create an internet radio station?" After searching Google for about 12 seconds for an answer, I found a cool site that hosts radio stations.

They're giving me a free trial, so we'll see how this works out...I've got 7 days to decide if this is a keeper. Comments are welcome, that's the reason I opted for a Live Journal as opposed to a normal website.

Music should be playing continuously. I'll work on increasing the amount of music that's on there, but be patient with me- I'm working on this site as well as the station at the same time.

I'll also try and post some times and have a semi-normal show going up as much as possible. Expect to hear me, and expect to hear some kickass music.

All input is welcome, and all mp3 donations are also welcome.

Just click on the yellow icon when you pull my page up (the link to the site is under "webpage" at the top of this screen). From there it will try and get you to download their mp3 player- don't, unless you want it. Windows Media Player, Real Player, WinAmp and iTunes all will play this- I promise.

I hope you all enjoy.

Plus, you can email me at:
radiocyanide@yahoo.com
